Started in New York, the 24-hour plays wre brought to Marfa by Linnell Hanover with the assistance of co-producer, Dawn Trook.

Based on the premise, that a play could be written, produced and performed in 24 hours, a group of area talents took on the challenge.

The entie group including actors, directors, stagehands and writers meet at 8 p.m on a Saturday evening, After introductions, the writers stay on and create their 10 minute play from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The directors and actors come back, chose scripts and cast, then begin rehearsals. By 8 p.m. that Sunday evening the plays are performed in front of a live audience.
